Adventures in radnauseum - Bake Cookies

Not very long ago, I was working seven days a week at two jobs.  I didn't have a lot of spare time. However, things have changed, and I now have most weekends off. I was at a loss for what to do with this new-found spare time. So, I created The Radnauseum Box.

Radnauseum is a state of paralysis where you have so many things you want to do, or should be doing, that you don't know what you want to tackle first. To keep myself from wasting my time trying to decide what to do with my time, I wrote down all the things I would like to do on little slips of paper and stuck them in a recycled tissue box. Now, whenever I find myself dithering over what to do with my time, I just stick my hand in the box and let fate decide.

It's not just stuff I want to do in the box. It's also stuff I don't especially want to do, but should be doing - like deep-cleaning a room or updating my resume. They're sort of like the "lose a turn" spaces on a board game.

Today's Radnauseum Box selection was: bake cookies. So, I baked cafe coffee cookies, which are a variation of chocolate chip cookies that uses coffee in the dough and in the drizzle on top of the cookie to add an extra grown-up flavor. They smelled delicious while they were baking, and tasted great, too. Since October is Cookie Month, I might bake a batch or two of these and bring them in to work.

What do you guys like to do on your days off? My Radnauseum Box still has quite a bit of space for suggestions.  Leave me a comment and I'll see if it's something I would like to try.

Hello and welcome to my latest blog. I am your host, Pekoe Gal.

This blog doesn't have a focus just yet.  I'll figure that out later. It probably won't be updated very often, as I often forget that I have a blog.
